Freedom House Side Event at 2011 HDIM: Democratic Change in Belarus, A Framework for Change

On Monday, October 3, Ambassador David Johnson and the U.S. Ambassador to Poland, Lee Feinstein, took part in a panel discussion titled “Democratic Change in Belarus: A Framework for Change.”

During the panel - convened by Freedom House and the Center for European Policy Analysis and held in the context of the 2011 OSCE HDIM - Both U.S. Ambassadors highlighted the need for democratic change in Belarus, while underscoring the necessity for sustained, unified solidarity with its people and civil society.
