Joining Forces Against Trafficking in Human Beings

Are you an NGO engaged in the struggle against human trafficking? If so, we would like to hear from you.

Recognizing the vital role civil society plays in efforts to end modern day slavery, Ambassador Daniel Baer of the United States Mission to the OSCE invites representatives of anti-trafficking organizations to take part in a Google+ Video Hangout on Tuesday, February 18, at 16:00 CET.

The Hangout will be an interactive briefing, building on the momentum of the February 17-18 joint OSCE/Council of Europe Conference “Not for Sale – Joining Forces Against Trafficking in Human Beings”. The aim of the Hangout is to learn participants’ views and ideas on how institutions such as the OSCE can do more to help prevent and prosecute trafficking, and identify and protect its victims.

As part of our broader effort to increase OSCE cooperation with civil society, we particularly encourage grassroots organizations to participate; prior experience of the OSCE’s work is not a prerequisite.

Joining the Hangout will be easy, requiring only an internet connection, webcam and a Google+ account.

If you would like to take part, or if you would like more information, please contact us on peterscj(at)state.gov. As the number of participants will be limited to a maximum of ten, we urge those interested to contact us as soon as possible.

We look forward to meeting you!
