ODIHR Final Elections Report on the 2022 Midterm Elections in the United States of America

We have received ODIHR’s final report on the November 8, 2022, mid-term general elections in the United States. I’d like to express our gratitude to the entire ODIHR team for arranging a Limited Election Observation Mission, including 17 core team members and 40 long-term observers, and to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly for deploying 132 short-term observers from more than 30 countries. We appreciate the professional and thorough manner in which they conducted their work.
Voting remains one of the most cherished rights in a democracy. In the United States we are proud of our democratic institutions and the thousands of poll workers and local, state, and federal government officials who tirelessly serve during every election to ensure our citizens are able to cast their ballots with confidence in the integrity of the elections process.
We will thoroughly review the ODIHR report and its recommendations and look forward to engaging with ODIHR’s election experts when they visit the United States for technical-level consultations in the coming months.
