The United States notes the judgment of the Appeals Chamber of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in the case of Ratko Mladic.

Mr. Chair, we will continue to remember the victims of the horrific crimes committed in the former Yugoslavia.

We urge the countries and peoples of the region to refrain from divisive rhetoric, respect the court’s verdict, and work together to build a better future for the entire region.

Thank you, Mr. Chair.
