Since the distinguished Russian ambassador made a statement that directly contradicts or responded to an element in the statement by my delegation, I just wanted to clarify that the part of the Minsk Protocol – since the distinguished Russian ambassador said that the Minsk Protocol of September 2014 in no way mentions monitoring of the state border or a security zone on the territory of the Russian Federation – the part of the Minsk Protocol we were referring to is paragraph four, which reads: “ensure the permanent monitoring of the Ukrainian-Russian border and verification by the OSCE with the creation of security zones in the border regions of Ukraine and the Russian Federation.”
