Response to the Austrian OSCE Chairmanship’s Condolences Regarding the Attack in Sutherland Springs, Texas
As delivered by Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. Harry Kamian
to the Permanent Council, Vienna
November 9, 2017
Thank you, Mr. Chair.
On behalf of the United States I would also like to thank you and the other colleagues who were kind enough to reach out in the last few days to directly express their condolences and support. We join you in extending the deepest condolences to the families and the loved ones of all the victims and we wish a full and speedy recovery.
Mr. Chair, sadly these heartfelt expressions have become all too commonplace in this hall. I wish I didn’t have to talk on this issue, but again, thank you very much for your kind condolences, and to those of you in the hall who have expressed them as well. Very, very much appreciated.
Thank you.
