Response to the Report by the Secretary General on the Unified Budget for 2024

We thank the Secretary General for her report and welcome the release of the OSCE’s 2024 Unified Budget proposal.
As in past years, we note the externalities which affect the cost increases indicated in the budget – namely inflation which affects both staff costs and programs – and acknowledge these are outside the control of the Secretary General and her capable staff to manage within the existing budget last agreed in August 2021.
We call on all participating States to actively take up this proposal and engage constructively in negotiations to agree on the budget in a timely fashion.
